Team Lead, Operational Excellence Oversight (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

The Team Lead, Operational Excellence Oversight provides leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure the goals, policies and standards of the department and CareSource are met. This is a hybrid position, working both in office at HQ/Dayton and remote.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor scheduling, attendance, and work allocation of team; provide oversight and conduct regular one-on-one meetings with all direct reports
  • Engage direct reports through consistent performance feedback and development opportunities
  • Direct activities to monitor Operations regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Direct activities to identify and perform regular oversight and monitoring of operational processes
  • Generate monthly reporting and recommendations based on findings from monitoring activities
  • Conduct monthly and/or quarterly quality reviews with the Operations Management team
  • Work cross-functionally with the Operations Management team to identify process gaps and drive improvements
  • In collaboration with the manager, develop, update, and implement department SOPs and training tools
  • Analyze and report financial savings related to process improvements
  • Ensure quantitative and qualitative measures are used to meet performance objectives
  • Compile reports and departmental communications
  • Participate in strategic planning and implement action plans
  • Build strong working relationships with all departments within Operations
  • Build strong working relationships with Markets and departments that are essential for resolving systemic issues and driving process improvements
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • A minimum of three (3) years in managed care or healthcare environment is required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare/managed care operations is preferred
  • Prior leadership and management experience is preferred

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Overall knowledge and understanding of operations-related systems, technical specifications and processes is preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project, Visio and Minitab is preferred
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of Operations-related systems, technical specifications and processes is preferred
  • Solid understanding of claims processing is preferred
  • Ability to conduct oversight, monitoring and auditing of operational areas
  • Ability to understand and translate regulations and accreditation requirements
  • Ability to document and maintain business and system requirements including process flows  
  • Ability to analyze processes and produce recommendations for improvements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Effective relationship management skills
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills
  • Effective facilitation and interpersonal skills

Licensure and Certification:

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is preferred

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Maybe required to travel, estimated at less than 10%

Compensation Range:
$70,800.00 - $113,200.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
