Onboarding and Accommodations

We introduce all new employees to CareSource’s DEI position, expectations, strategy and support systems as part of our onboarding process. We are developing and implementing a best-in-class approach to support individuals with all backgrounds and abilities by enhancing accessibility, benefits and accommodation processes, thus ensuring our employees have what they need to be successful.

Employee Training

To create and maintain an inclusive and accessible work environment where all our employees feel welcomed, respected and supported, we create and offer learning opportunities where everyone can actively participate and grow. We intentionally elevate our collective cultural competence and promote inclusivity through year-round learning opportunities, employee education, leadership training and volunteerism.

Employee Communities

At CareSource, the difference is you! Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) provide a safe space and community for underrepresented groups. Disability Inclusion at CareSource

Our dedication is fortified through our strategic partnerships and underscored through the establishment of our Employee-led DEI Action Committee, focused on disability inclusion, as well as our National Disability Inclusion Advisory Board, comprised of external leaders and advocates in disability inclusion.

Employee-led DEI Action Committee Focused on Disability Inclusion

As part of our commitment to having diverse representation in our workforce, in 2023 we established a new DEI Action Committee focused on disability inclusion to identify actions and strategies to build and foster a more inclusive workplace for our employees with disabilities. This employee-led action committee consists of ten (10) workstreams actively working to drive integration of CareSource’s disability inclusion strategy throughout the enterprise in these key areas of focus:

  • Culture and Leadership
  • Accommodations, Enterprise-Wide Access and Benefits
  • Employee Data and Disclosures
  • Recruitment and Hiring - New Hire Experience
  • Training and Education
  • Employment, Retention and Advancement
  • Community Engagement and Partnerships
  • Supplier Diversity
  • Markets
  • Brand Reputation

CareSource National Disability Inclusion Advisory Board

In April 2024, as a way to provide ongoing guidance and support to our Disability Inclusion Action Committee and continue to mature our approach to disability inclusion, we established the CareSource National Disability Inclusion Advisory Board (NDIAB). Our NDIAB helps propel CareSource to be best-in-clas when it comes to disability inclusion by:

  • Providing honest feedback on CareSource policies and practices, both existing and those under development
  • Mentoring and guiding the Disability Inclusion Action Committee and Workstreams
  • Identifying and sharing best practices applicable to our organization
  • Sharing disability inclusion trends that may impact our long-term strategy
