Foundation Relations Specialist III

Job Summary:

The Foundation Relations Specialist III serves as a contact for grant recipients, nonprofits, and community organizations on behalf of the CareSource Foundation.  Develop relationships with nonprofit leaders, serving as a support for the CareSource Foundation operations and focus areas, and works in collaboration with the markets, business development, advocacy, and life services.

Looking for someone near the Dayton, OH Market; or Indiana/Georgia secondary- Roles will be Hybrid

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver CareSource Foundation and philanthropy strategies, including managing relationships with community stakeholders and grassroots leaders within communities we serve and are working to secure.

  • Develop relationships with grant recipients and nonprofits, maintaining regular communications with current recipients and serving as a contact point for the foundation in growth markets

  • Build awareness of the CareSource Foundation’s mission and work through presentations, and stakeholder engagement

  • Promote and secure new markets, works with BD Community Marketing on ground game activities, provide support information for Foundation Board Meetings and Assist with Annual Report as applicable.

  • Participate in the assigned Market Foundation Committees, including communication, meetings and serving as subject matter expert on the foundation’s focus areas as applicable.

  • Facilitate employee civic engagement through volunteering, public events, and other opportunities; support employee-driven opportunities; support market leaders’ participation on nonprofit boards, community organizations, etc. as applicable.

  • Performs as a Foundation liaison and coordinates foundation requests.  

  • Collaborate with Foundation team to help coordinate the Foundation budget

  • Collaborate with Foundation team to engage and collaborate across CareSource, including engaging with the Communications, Finance, Business Development, Advocacy, Life Services, Quality and Clinical teams

  • Collaborate with the Foundation team as a liaison with the corporate marketing team to ensure we are appropriately demonstrating the work of the CareSource Foundation across all markets

  • Support applicable platforms to ensure grant reports are completed, compiled and delivered to the appropriate RFP teams.

  • Assist with workplace giving campaigns.

  • Manage grant challenges.   

  • Perform any other job duties as requested

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required

  • A minimum of (5) years of professional experience in a community relations, corporate foundation, non-profit organization, or equivalent industry is required

  • Working Knowledge of Blackbaud or comparable Grant Making Software

Licensure and Certification:

  • To help protect our employees, members, and the communities we serve from acquiring communicable diseases, Influenza vaccination is a requirement of this position. CareSource requires annual proof of Influenza vaccination for designated positions during Influenza season (October 1 – March 31) as a condition of continued employment. Employees hired during Influenza season will have thirty (30) days from their hire date to complete the required vaccination and have record of immunization verified.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

  • Some travel, as dictated by the needs of the Foundation, is required

Compensation Range:
$69,400.00 - $111,000.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
